Meteorological Council, liquidation of and substitution therefor of the Meteorological Committee. It was decided that as from 1st April 1905 the Parliamentary Grant for Meteorological purposes should be administered by the newly appointed Meteorological Committee, properly vested in the former Council and was to be transferred to the Permanent Secretary to tye Treasury and an approach made to H.M.Office of Works to secure suitable new premises. Dr.W.N.Shaw F.R.S. was to be appointed the new Director and the new body incorporated by Royal Charter.
