Description

Indenture, dated 1 October, 4 Elizabeth, witnessing that John Smithe of Ostenhanger, esquire, has demised to Thomas Browninge, yeoman, lands called 'Ox Downe, Little Harcums, Great Harcums and East Syde,' all in Poslinge, for twelve years; rent, 29l. payable 'at the great gate next the bridge, entringe into the quadrand of the cheife parte of his howse caled Ostenhanger'; the liberty of hawking and hunting reserved, and the lessee not to alienate without the lessor's consent. English. Signature of Thomas Browninge. Endorsed with signatures of witnesses.
