Indenture, dated 20 December, 1585, witnessing that Sir Ralph Eggerton of Wrynehill, co. Stafford, knight, has demised to Richard Bossone, yeoman, his servant, and to Edward and Richard, the said Richard's sons (if an assignment be made to them or to either of them) of a messuage and land in the occupation of the said Richard the father, lands called 'the Nickryddinges, the Poole Styddes, alias Poole Place, and the Foure Acres,' and a windmill and a horse-mill, all in Newbolde Astberye, with the multure of the tenants there, for twenty-one years from the end of a former lease made to the said Richard and to Isabel his wife; rent, 4l. 15s. and such heriots and customs as are due from other tenants within the lordship of Newbolde Astberye in proportion to the rent; the lease to be forfeited if either of the sons misbehave. English. Endorsed with signatures of witnesses.
