This series contains invoices for collection items purchased by the Department of Printed Books. Within each volume the invoices are arranged, firstly in date order, then alphabetically by name of supplier. When used in conjunction with the red date stamps, that normally appears in purchased books, they can identify the bookseller, agent or individual from whom the Department of Printed Books acquired a particular item, and how much it cost.
