Description

Grant by Athelard le Loreng and Joan his wife, of Winfeld, to Geoffrey the cobbler (sutore) of Tebworth and Agnes his wife, for their service and 13s. 4d. beforehand in gersum, of 1a. arable in the field of Winfeld, viz. ½a. in the field 'del West' and it is headland (forera), etc., and the other ½a. lies in the field 'del North,' etc.; clause against religious; rent ½d. to the chief lord of the fee, at the feast of St Mary in March, for all service, save ½d. to the king's service when it runs. Witnesses:—Henry de Pelham, William de Hoccle, clerk, and others (named).
