Grant by William de Hampton to Guy de Terstewode, for his homage and service of a quarter of a virgate of land in Terste- wode, to wit the land which Nigel Pinnoc held, and all the pieces (perticulas) of meadow which Nigel used to mow, lift and carry into his court of Welewe, 3a. behind the garden which was Serich's, 8a. in Holebroc, 1a. meadow in Stretforlang, and the whole land which Arnold the potter (potarius) held; to hold hereditarily, rendering therefore at Michaelmas 5s. and 1lb. cummin, for all service saving the king's service, as much as belongs to a quarter virgate in that town; also grant of fifty pigs quit of pannage in his wood of Welewe; for this Guy gave him eleven marks, 10s. in gersum, to Alice, his wife, three besants and to Stephen, his son, 6d. Witnesses:—Randolph, Simon, Adam and Alexander, chaplains of Romes', Walter de Rumes', William Pancevot and others (named).
