Indenture witnessing that Sir Gilbert Chastellein has sold to Sir John Trillowe, the wardship of all the land, etc., which formerly were John Paynel's in Borewarscote till the full age of Thomas son and heir of the said John Paynel, with the marriage of the said heir, as Gilbert bought it of the Prince and of Sir Roger de Cotesford, except the land, etc., which Thomas Paynel, uncle of the said heir holds there, which Gilbert has reserved in case the said Thomas die within thir- teen (tresse) years next; rendering therefore to Sir Gilbert 20l. from year to year during thirteen (tresse) years next; but if Thomas the son die within thirteen (tresse) years, the rent to cease from that hour on.
