Copy on parchment of an indenture whereby Richard le Moyne of Little Brampton, reciting that William de Welledon, Master of the hospital of St David without Norhampton, before Robert de Betford and John de Mutford justices of assize, co. Northampton, had brought a writ of nouvel disseisin against him, and Peter his brother, for that that they had diverted a water-course in Little Brampton to the hurt of the Master's free tenement in Bucton; upon the intervention of common friends and perceiving the Master's action to be just, grants that he will, within three days (triduum) repair the diversion; and grants that the Master and his servants, for the repair of a place of land called 'le Fletso,' belonging to the Master's mill of Bucton, may stand in his land of Brampton, etc; with bond in 40s. for observance of covenants. Brampton, Monday after the octave of the Holy Trinity, 2 Edward II. In the presence of Sir Philip de Nevil, Sir Adam de Goldingham, parson of the church of Kyslyngbury, John de Bucton and William de Sancto Mauro, who have put to their seals as witnesses.
