Description

Quitclaim by Richard, son of Thomas Chaumpeneys of Sele, co. Kent, son and heir of Parnel sometime wife of the said Thomas, to John son of Geoffrey Squyrel of Haveryng, co. Essex, for 40 marks beforehand of his right in land, etc, with the liberty of a fold and other liberties which the said John holds in Trippelawe, co. Cambridge, for the term of his life by the courtesy of England, after the death of Katharine his wife, sister of the said Parnel; and which ought to revert to him (Richard) or his heirs (and in the town of Cristishale, co. Essex) as next heirs of the said Katharine and Parnel. Witnesses:—Robert de Wandovere, bailiff of Haveryng, Nicholas de Rumford, his clerk and others (named). Hornedecherche, co. Essex, Tuesday before St Barnabas, 5 Edward II.
