Description

Demise in fee farm by John ap Madoc ap Eignus, and Mered[ith] ap Roger ap Eign[us], proctors of the fraternity of the Holy Cross of Osewestr[e], Sir John Clerke, vicar of Oes[ewestre], Thomas ap Rees, D[avi]d ap Guttyn ap Gr[ono], and John Wyn ap D[avi]d ap Eign[us], brethren of the same fraternity, with the consent of all the other brethren, to Sir John ap William, chaplain, of a burgage, bequeathed to them by Margaret verch Jankin, one of their sisters, to the use of the said fraternity, in Oss[ewestre] in Chirton Street between the High Street and a croft called 'le Spity Crofte,' at 20d. rent. Witnesses:—John Arundell, knight, steward of the town and lordship of Oss[ewestre], Richard Saltere and Thomas ap Ric[hard], chief bailiffs of the said town, and others (named). 12 May, 10 Henry VII.
