Indenture made 15 January, 5 Edward III:, witnessing that John Strelley of Hasilbache, esq., 'ought' to Richard Bakewell 'for laberyng hys materes,' and expenses in two years last past, and 'for iij. yer' bourde of hym and hys wyffe and hys chylder,' 48l. 6s. 7d. (In different ink.) And this is due to the said Richard 'with a more some in a peyr of indenturs afor tyme made and be the parties indeferently aselet'. Also the said John has given to the said Richard all 'the ferme of the lordshippe of Hasilbache with in the erthe and abufe for this viij. yer' last past yf he can recover of the exec' of' Sir William Vernon, knt., Henry Vernon, esq., Nicholas Eyr of Redcetes, Nicholas Sywarde of Bradwall, or of any other man that has occupied the said lordship, 'that is to wyt in viij. yer' clxli. and more.
