Description

Acquittance made by the abbot of Hulton, co. Stafford, to Sir Edward Wade, chaplain of Bruggenorht, his proctor, for 10s. of a yearly rent of 2s. issuing from a house in the street of Bruggenorht called 'Hongre' for five years last past. St Matthew's day, 1438. Also acquittance for 13s. 4d. paid at Michaelmas, 1448. On the fold at the bottom: Et concessimus eidem domino Edwardo annuatim de dicto redditu iiijd. pro labore suo. Endorsed: Nichill.
