Description

(1.) Confirmation by Thomas de Strelley of Wodeburgh, to Ellen, wife of Ivo Jeke, of all his estate in the lands and tenements in Oxton and Wodeburgh called 'Founelande,' upon which she has entered by inheritance from William de Strelley, the elder, her father, reserving to Thomas lands in Oxton called 'Waldeshefland.' Monday before St. Valentine, 9 Richard [II]. French. (2.) Grant by Ivo Jeke of Prestwold, and Ellen his wife, to Thomas de Strelley, in tail, of their lands and tenements in Wodeburgh called 'Founelande' on condition of the said Ellen and her heirs not being ousted from lands and tenements in Oxton called 'Waldeshefland' which Thomas has granted to her in tail. Tuesday before St. Valentine, 9 Richard II. French. (3.) Certificate by Thomas de Strelley, that whereas the above Ivo and Ellen hold lands in Wodeburgh called 'Founeland,' in right of the latter, which they have granted to him in tail, and whereas Thomas holds in fee certain lands in Oxton called 'Waldeshefland'; he has granted the said lands in Oxton to Ellen in tail on condition that if he be [ousted] from the lands in Wodeburgh he may re-enter upon those in Oxton, and Ellen upon those in Wodeburgh. Tuesday before St. Valentine, 9 Richard [II]. French. (4.) Demise by Payn de Vilers of Kynalton, knight, to Richard Strelley, of the services of John de Normanton of Calverton, and Avice le Coupere of the same viz. their fealty and yearly rents of 6s. and 4s. respectively. Monday before St. Thomas the apostle, 18 Edward III. (5.) Release by the same, to the same, of all his right in the above services. Wednesday after St. Hilary, 18 Edward III. Copies on one skin.
