Deed poll by whoch John le Marchant, bailiff of the King of England in the Island of Guernsey, acknowledges the receipt of a writ from the King (set out in full-dated 26 April, 49 Edward III.), addressed to the bailiff and jurats of the said Island, ordering them to deliver to Thomas de Appelby, the King's receiver there, all arrears, forfeitures, escheats, and the goods and chattels of foreign rebels, both of the time of Walter Hwet, deceased, warden of the said island, and of other wardens, which had been detained and concealed, etc, : Guernsey Dated: St. Peter's Port, Monday, 1 June 1375
