This series contains files for individual members of the scientific staff of the department, together with a few for Honorary Associates and other additional workers. They contain administrative details of such matters as attendance, absence, re-grading and promotion as well as, in some cases, reports of scientific work, letters written while out on fieldwork, and correspondence subsequent to resignation or retirement. In some cases the files contain notes and correspondence relating to preparation of an obituary.
