This series consists of staff files of the British Museum (Natural History) Department of Mineralogy's Keeper of Mineralogy for individual members of the scientific staff of the department.
They contain administrative details of such matters as attendance, absence, re-grading and promotion as well as, in some cases, reports of scientific work, letters written while out on fieldwork, and letters written after retirement or resignation.
