Highways map of Burntwood [part of Cannock Chase] (liberty or township), Staffordshire. Map on two sheets. Main map covers the enclosed area and some other land (1840 acres) and shows the land before and after enclosure. Also shows named lakes or ponds, open fields names, named inn, railway. Industrial land-use: engine house, collieries. Scale: 1 inch to 6 chains. By [?William Fowler], [1860] Map certified by two Staffordshire Justices of the Peace confirming the roads conform with the Highways Act [1835]. There is also a map of a boundary alteration, signed by the Marquess of Anglesey as lord of the manor, and certified by the Burntwood highway surveyors. Dimensions of maps: 117 cm x 85 cm, 56 cm x 45 cm
