Subject: concerning Emans' title to a copyhold messuage and lands held of the manor of Checkendon, Oxfordshire, held by his father and after his death by his mother, who died about ten years since [c 1620]; Leonard Keate esq of Chekendon, lord of the said manor, died and left the said Dorothy his widow, now wife of Christopher Petty gent of Tettisworth [Tetsworth], Oxfordshire, having conveyed the inheritance of the manor to the said John Keate.
