Description

Short title: Shakespeare v Lamberte.

Plaintiffs: John Shakespeare of Stratford upon Avon and Mary Shakespeare his wife (in right of the wife).

Defendants: John Lamberte.

Subject: To recover possession. A messuage and one yard of land in Wylnecote [Wilmcote], in the parish of Aston Cauntloe [Aston Cantlow], Warwickshire, granted by the plaintiffs to Edmund Lambert, with proviso of redemption upon payment to him of £40 lent. The said Lambert died, and the defendant, as his son, refused to give up possession, although the said £40 were tendered in payment, and claims the same as his inheritance.
