Subject: To establish right of common. Walter [Devereux] late Earl of Essex was seised in fee of the manor of Orton upon the Hill [Orton on the Hill] alias Orton under Arderne, Leicestershire, and of a grange called The Lea Grange, in respect of which, plaintiff who purchased the said grange, claims right of common in the said manor of Orton, which was purchased of the said Earl by defendant's father.
