Description

These are registers of correspondence between the Board of Excise and successors at the Treasury. The registers cover dates from 1825 to 1887 although the papers cover dates from 1828 to 1887. There are discrepancies in the dating between the two sets of records. Also with the registers themselves it will be found that volumes 10, 13, 16, 17 and 25 show errors in the embossing on the spines; there being variations from the actual numbering and dating.
