Thomas, Earl of Lancaster to William son of Adam Russel of Bradewelle: Grant, indented, of maintenance in his house as one of his valets, or to the amount of £20 from the bailwick of Newcastle-under-Lyme, so soon as the Earl shall have seisin of the landslate of Alexander de Meere in Bradewelle, of the heritage of the said William: (Linc).
