Description
An account of the dates of the consecration of the Bishops of Carlisle from 1133 to 1158 certified by the Prior and Chapter of Carlisle at the request of Conishead Priory. [The date of the death of Hugh and the consecration of Walter (Mauclerk) given as 1233 should, according to Le Neve, be 1223].
