Description

This series contains outport records from Liverpool. Comprising orders etc. from the board of Customs and Excise to the collector, 1910 to 1929. Letter books, collector to board, 1931 to 1936 and general, 1933 to 1935; wreck transactions book, 1895 to 1919. Miscellaneous records of the Customs House, Runcorn, relating to staff, 1862 to 1897, and to seizures 1863 to 1952 are also included in this series. Most of the earlier records of this outport were lost due to enemy action in the Second World War.
