Defendants: Elizabeth Poyntes late the wife of said Matthew Poyntes [Poyntz], Thomas Poyntes and Edward Poyntes his sons, John Chambers, gent, his son-in-law, Matthew Crew, Robert Crew, Jane Crew his wife, daughter of said Elizabeth Poyntes, Robert Hale, Joan Hale his wife, John Colwell, George Culpeper, gent, Edward Culpeper, gent, Edward Norrice, Nicholas Crew, Thomas Reynolds, William Engler, John Copper, and others.
Subject: Unduly influencing the said Matthew Poyntes to encumber the manor of Alderley and lands in Hilsley [near Alderley], Leighterton and Hawksbury, suppression of a bond for entail of the said manor, assaults at the attempts of plaintiff Sir Nicholas Poyntes kt, to visit his father, and afterwards, forcible entry in the said manor, etc.
