Short title: Lewis v Hopkin.
Plaintiffs: Thomas Lewis vicar of Merthyr Cynog.
Defendants: David Hopkin, gent, Thomas Lewis the elder, clerk Griffith John Griffith, Morgan David, bailiff of the baron's court of the manor of Brecon, Thomas Vaughan, gent, John Powell ap Evan and Alice verch Watkin.
Subject: Assaults during service in the church of Merthyr Cynog and in the Chapel of Llanfihangel Nant-y-bran thereto belonging, levying money without authority, perjury in the Exchequer Chamber in an action for tithes, and official extortion.
