Short title: Eddis v Parmiter.
Plaintiffs: James Eddis, tanner, William Ryder, yeoman and Thomas Pearce, yeoman, all of Thornbury.
Defendants: Henry Parmiter, attorney in the Common Pleas, Thomas Grymstone yeoman and Henry Townsend, high constable of the hundred of Thornbury.
Subject: Procuring from Joan Pearce and Elizabeth Pearce, minors, granddaughters of William Pearce and Ellen Pearce a conveyance of their lands in Owlston, Tockington, Almondsbury, Redwick and Northwick, so as to risk leaving them chargeable to the parish of Thornbury; perjury as to a bond given to Maurice Baker, deceased; forgery of bonds concerning land in Oldbury; and extortion by the said Henry Townsend in office.
