Plaintiffs: Henry (Clinton) Earl of Lincoln.
Defendants: Sir Edward Dymocke kt, Thomas Pinchebacke of Kyme, labourer, John Lovell, James Christopher of Horncastle carpenter, Valentine Browne (later Sir Valentine Browne kt) and Leonard Bawtree esq, all JPs, Robert Hughes, George Toynton alias George Packe, Richard Walker, Thomas Thewe, constable of Ashby, John Sutterbye, John Carsey gent of Ketsby, John Browne, Robert Harryson, Bryan Eland, and others.
Subject: Forcible entries and assaults on servants of plaintiff Henry Clinton Earl of Lincoln, in the manor of Horncastle and at Ashby, seizure of hay, destruction and plunder of a dwelling-house, indicting said plaintiff of trespass by means of a packed jury at a private session without giving him notice, brawling in his house, etc.
