Plaintiffs: Richard Besson of Litherskew, bowbearer of Wensleydale etc and collector of Crown rents in Bainbridge and Worton.
Defendants: John Metcalfe gent of Simonstone, Edward Dinsdall gent of Gayle, John Dinsdall gent, his son, James Metcalfe, Sir Thomas Metcalfe kt of Nappa, Roger Bowes, Roger Metcalfe, and others.
Subject: Unlawful liveries, rescue of beast seized for trespass in the forest of Wensleydale, assault on the servants of plaintiff Richard Besson, demand of the said Crown rents, Deer-stealing and suppression of a warrant.
