Description

Short title: Awsten v Gaddesden.

Plaintiffs: Richard Awston, yeoman.

Defendants: John Gaddesden son of Thomas Gaddesden of Hitchin, Dociteus Clinton, Richard Norrice, Edward Starr, and others of Cottered.

Subject: Assault, libel, and false indictment arising out of an action by plaintiff Richard Awsten concerning a breach of trust of his messuage and land in Cottered.

Hertfordshire.

Note: The bill mentions a fire among the Chancery records [the destruction of the Six Clerk's Office in 1621].
