Description

Short title: Aylmer v Allen.

Plaintiffs: Samuel Aylmer esq of Ulting (? son of John Aylmer, late bishop of London).

Defendants: Edmund Allen esq of Hatfield Peverel, Henry Metcalf, butcher, John Porter, yeoman, Agnes Porter his wife, John Purledevant (Purlevant, Purleyn), Richard Garrett alias Richard Toolarge, John Coleman, yeoman, John Cracknell, yeoman, John Hewet clerk, William Pipple clerk, Richard Samford, labourer, John Wilfeild, labourer, Jeremy Stammer, John Solme, John Hawes, John Wilson, keeper, Miles Dockley, blacksmith, and others.

Subject: Dispute as to the vicarage of Ulting, to which the said John Porter presented as farmer of the rectory; destruction of pews and injury to the communion table in Ulting church, action for libel by the said Edmund Allen, perjury, embracery, etc.

Essex.
