William Powncett, gentleman to The King: grant and surrender of his office of Collector of the quitrents of the manor of Barking both north and south and the fee of £7. 3s. 4d. thereto appertaining, which he had be letters patenet under seal of the Court of Augmentations, for life, dated 29 Oct. 1 Edw. VI. Annexed is the last mentioned document, which contains a recital of a grant by the late nunnery of Barking (Dorothea Barlee, abbess) dated 28 March, 28 Hen. VIII, of the office of Steward and Receiver-General of all their possessions in England and collector of quitrents of their manor of Barking; Essex. 6 Edw VI
