Indenture witnessing that James Daudele, lord of Heighley (in Audley, Staffordshire) will enfeoff the King of the manor of Winkleigh, and the King will licence him to enfeoff certain persons of the manors of Blagdon, Bovey Tracey, Northlew and Holsworthy (Holdesworth), with the hamlet of Tackebere (in Bridgerule), and of the reversion of the manor of Lydford, to the use of the said James, for his life, with reversion to the King, and Licence to enfeoff the same persons, or others, of the manors of Barnstaple, Combe Martin, the reversion of the manor of Dartington, etc, to the use of the said James and Isabel his wife, for their lives, with reversion to James son of the said James and Isabel in tail male, etc. 27 Edw III.
