Description

Award by Thomas Langton, and Roger Dynley, esquires, John Dynley, and Robert Chaloner, in a dispute between Sir William Darcy, knight, and John Skelton of Osmondthorpe, as to the occupation of certain lands and tenements &c. granted by Sir John Darcy, late lord Darcy, grandfather of the said Sir William, to Richard Skelton, grandfather of the said John Skelton; the said Sir William is to demise the said lands &c. to the said John Skelton for a hundred years, at a yearly rent of 8L.: [Yorkshire] Whittekirke, 4 April, 23 Edw IV. English. Portion of seal of arms, and fragments of two seals.
