Letter of attorney by Edmund Bray, knight, authorising Henry Barwyk and William Whalley to receive seisin of the manor of Morton, Berkshire, the manor of Staunden, Wiltshire, with messuages, lands, and rents &c. in Staunden Huse, Wiltshire, with messuages, lands, and rent &c. in Staunden Huse, Wiltshire, and the manor of Staunden, with lands, wood, and rent &c. in Staunden Huse, Berkshire, and lands in Hertyng, Westhertyng, and Rowgate, Sussex, which William Smyth, clerk, archdeacon of Lincoln, son and heir of Richard Smyth the brother and heir of William Smyth, late bishop of Lincoln, has demised to him in tail male, in fulfilment of the will of Reginald Bray, knight, with remainders in tail male to Edward Bray, esquire, John Bray, and Reginald Bray: Berkshire, Wiltshire Sussex. 12 November, 8 Hen VIII. Signed. Seal.
