Description

Indenture between John Ernle, esquire, sheriff of Wilts, and John Gybbes, deputy of Richard Lyster, knight, chief baron of the exchequer, lieutenant and surveyor of the king's park of Claryngdon, witnessing that the said sheriff had caused thirty cartloads of hay to be bought from William Mogeryge for 8L. paying 40s. for its carriage and storage in the grange within the said park, for the support of the king's beasts (ferarum) there in the winter: [Wiltshire] 28 November, 36 Hen VIII. Signed.
