The policing of fascist and anti-fascist marches and rallies in the East End of London. The file begins in the days following 'The Battle of Cable Street' in October 1936 when Oswald Mosley's blackshirts were prevented from marching. The police stations at Leman Street and Ann Arbour Square were at the centre of the contested area and were reinforced throughout the period with officers from all over London.
