Description

This series consists chiefly of a series of indexed entry books of Royal and Treasury warrants to the Surveyors General and Commissioners of Woods, Forests, etc., relating to royal parks, forests and woodlands, 1803 to 1851, and two general series of similar warrants, 1839 to 1851, 1851 to 1925, relating to all aspects of the commissioners' work. The series includes a register of rents put in charge with Crown Receivers, containing references to the relevant Treasury warrants, 1897 to 1903, and an entry book of Royal Sign Manual warrants to the Office of Works, 1851 to 1895, with an index.
