These volumes relate to the Crown's house property and consist of entry books of out-letters, 1821 to 1901, and Treasury report books, 1851 to 1913. From 1886 there are separate series of out-letters relating to London and to the country.

All the volumes contain indexes. The earliest entry books of out letters are indexed by name only but most volumes are indexed by name and place. In addition, the later ones have a few subjects indexed, though the cross-referencing within each volume is not always consistent.

The books are bound in chronological order.
