Description

Short title: Savage v Whitbread.

Plaintiffs: William Savage, Dowglas Savage [the younger son and daughter of Sir Thomas Savage deceased] infants, by Ralph Snagge their guardian.

Defendants: Matthew Billing and Elizabeth Fountaine [executors of the estate of Sir Thomas Savage], Henry Whitbread, Joseph Somes and Dorothy Somes his wife, Susan Awnslow and Robert Owsley.

Subject: property in Cardingcott [Cardington] manor and Eastcotts manor, Bedfordshire.

Document type: bill and answer.

Additional information: affidavit of Henry Whitbread that he has material witnesses to be examined namely Clement Spilman, Repentance Savage and Thomas Buckley, who are in the army and remote in the country, so that he cannot yet find them to get them examined, though he hath endeavoured to find them out (C 31/18 no 341).
