Grant from Simon, son of Robert de Roingis to the "blessed paupers" of the Hospital of Jerusalem, of two acres of land without "bounds", commencing at the half virgate of land held by Bruning and running alongside the highway leading to the Church land; and to William, son of Maurice de Herlawe, his uncle, to hold of the said paupers at a rent of 6 d annually. And the said Simon has, in the church of S. Margaret, before the parishioners and neighbours, caused all those men and women, who shall impede or obstruct the said tenement to be cursed.
