Charter from Aliz de Rumeli, daughter of William son of Dunekan, by which she grants in frankalmoign, for the health of her soul and the souls of all her ancestors and successors and of her late husbands, Gilbert Pippard and Robert de Curtenai, to the abbot and monks of St. Mary of Furness, all Borrowdale (Borcherdale), with all liberties, easements, and appurtenances, described by bounds, beining from Ashness beck ( Eschenesbec), where it falls into Derwentwater, and ascending to the summit of the hill which lies between Watendlathe and Borrwdale, &c.,and free ingress, egress, and passage through all her barony of Alredale and Coupland.
