Indenture of agreement upon the contention between John, the abbot, and convent of Furness, and Sir John, son of Sir Robert de Haverington, touching the tenure of the lands and tenements which the said Sir John had lately obtained from Sir John de Lancaster in the vill of Ulverston and the fells (mountains) of Furness, one moiety of the vill of Ulverston and the lands within Funess Fell, to be held of the abbey by suit and service at the abbot's court of Dalton, and a yearly rent for the same, as well as for the other part which Christiana de Lyndesa, widow of Sir Ingleram de Gynes, sometime held.
