Indenture of agreement made between John, the abbot of the monastery of St. Mary of Furness, and the convent, of the one part, and Elizabeth, the abbess of the monsatery of Syon, in Middlesex, and the convent, of the other part, witnessing that an agreement having been made touching the controversy heretofore moved between John, abbot of Furness (predecessor of the now abbot) and Nigel, late prior of St. Mary's of Lancaster, and the said abbess of Syon, now having the estate which the said late prior had in the priory of Lancaster, the said abbess now agrees to demise and let for the term of 60 years, to the said abbot and convent of Funess, all the rights in the fishery of the water of Lune, which were the subjects of the agreement above referred to, viz,. from the place called Saint Marie Well in the water of Lune, to the ford called Prestwarh, 24 November, 39 Henry VI
