Date

1720-1837

Description

Original rules (orders) of court authorising the amendment of final concords or common recoveries where some mistake had been made which might be held to have invalidated the transactions; the procedure was cheaper than levying a new fine or recovery. Each order is signed by a justice of the court. Most date from the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries, and many of the later ones are copies rather than originals.
