Defendants: Thomas Price and others.
County: Cardiganshire, Wales.
Subject: Misdemeanours of defendants in various local government offices, but mainly in the office of deputy lieutenancy - converting the ammunition and armour of the county to their own use; levying illegal taxes to replace the appropriated armour; corruption in the pressing and mustering of soldiers; erecting a new armour-house on the land of Richard Price; misdemeanours in the inspection of armour; raising commorthau for the benefit of kinsmen; corruption and malpractices in the Great Sessions, especially in cases of murder; forging the roll of escheats and amercements thereof, Price then being Custos Rotulorum; appointing Price's men as bailiffs of the hundreds, the easier to exact commorthau [the latter part of the bill is a vivid recital of the collecting of these commorthau].
