[This Henry Smith, having been a firm Protestant known as Prattling Smith, went to Louvain and became a firm Catholic: his manner of death, naked except for a loin cloth, with his arms spread wide, hanging very low indeed from his bedpost [in the position of a crucifixion? auto-erotic asphyxiation?], was the talk of London and is described in Charles Perkin Gwilt, Notices Relating to Thomas Smith of Campden and to Henry Smith ., London 1836, and more briefly in Foxe's Book of Martyrs].
