Short Title: Attorney General v Pooler.

[Cause code: SCEL-09102].

Plaintiffs: Attorney General (John Popham) in the matter of Gregory Ballard and Margery his wife.

Defendants: William Pooler tanner of Worcester, Francis Cother his servant, also a tanner of Worcester.

County: Worcestershire [Marches of Wales].

Subject: perjury by Cother that William Pooler could not travel to London without danger of his life, to answer the Star Chamber suit of Gregory Ballard and Margery his wife [against Lowe]; depositions of Richard Ferne of Kidderminster gent aged 50; Lucy Warter of Bewdley, wife of Thomas Warter clerk aged 55; Alice Holmer of Bewdley, wife of William Holmer shoemaker aged 54; Joan Warter of Bewdley, spinster aged 20; George Sowthall of Rybfford, clerk aged 25; Thomas Wood of Bewdley, shoemaker aged 47; Thomas Nayshe of Bewdley, shoemaker aged 48; George Langforde of Worcester, gent aged 33; and Richard Grove of Ludlow, Shropshire, cutler aged 75.
