Plaintiffs: Sir John Arundell, committee of the body of [John], Lord Stourton, the Queen's ward, and farmer and lessee of his lands.
Defendants: Richard Bonsden gent, William Crowche husbandman, Henry Taylor , William Forreste, and Sylvester Cavell, and others unnamed.
County: Wiltshire.
Subject: assault by the defendants, light, lewd and evil-disposed persons, armed, on John Abell and William Bodway, keepers of the warren at Stourton (charged to prevent the continual illegal hunting of coneys [rabbits]); the keepers were hit with arrows and left for dead, and now are languising, void of any hope of life.
