Subject: perjury at nisi prius at the York Assizes, in a Kings Bench action over a boat (under the value of 40s) wrecked on the sand near Newham Becke, in the Queen's manor of Staxby [Stakesby in Whitby] and purchased by Conyers from Edward Elryngton and others, the officers of the Lord Admiral in the North Parts: the dispute was whether the boat was originally found on Crown land, or that of Sir Richard Cholmley of Roxby.
